The AMEISE project will be continued in phase 3.2 in order to further prepare for the introduction of autonomous shuttles in public transport.
Building on the findings of phase 3.1, the focus is now on a holistic technology assessment, the development of sustainable operating models and broad communication of the results. The aim is to systematically evaluate the opportunities and risks of autonomous mobility and to derive concrete courses of action for Baden-Württemberg.
The work is divided into three main areas: Firstly, the technological consequences and infrastructural requirements are examined, for which scenarios and visions of the future are developed to serve as a decision-making aid for the Ministry of Transport. Secondly, future operating models and market structures are analysed. The focus here is on the roles of actors, business models and forms of cooperation in order to design economically viable and socially sustainable solutions. Thirdly, communication and transfer are supported by an expert advisory board (‘think tank’) that develops lines of argumentation, describes transformation milieus and increases the visibility of the project.
