Call for funding "Charging and Hydrogen Refueling Infrastructure for Long-distance Trucks (LWT)"

The aim of the mission is to investigate the sustainability of the infrastructure with regard to expected standards for a charging and hydrogen refueling infrastructure and to support its expansion with a funding program.

With four funding blocks, charging and hydrogen refueling infrastructure facilities as well as combination of these facilities and the accompanying scientific research with regard to their planning, construction and operation are to be funded with a total of 21 million euros. The submitted project proposals will be reviewed and the selection process will be completed by the end of 2023. The mission represents the realization phase (2nd phase) of the joint SDA project "Pilot Charging and Hydrogen Refueling Station for Trucks BW" (PiLaTes).

Five hydrogen refuelling stations in Hartheim, Satteldorf, Weilheim/Teck, Aichstetten and Ravensburg will be funded. In addition, two projects for the construction of charging infrastructure for heavy-duty electric commercial vehicles are to be funded.
