DACfit - DAC-technology benchmark for reFuels production sites

The aim of this ZSW project is to qualify and further develop DAC technologies specifically for reFuels applications, thereby accelerating the market ramp-up of DAC plants that are used, among other things, to extract biogenic CO2 for reFuels. Specifically, the project involves setting up a test infrastructure to qualify DAC technologies in advance under realistic conditions with regard to varying climatic conditions at reFuels production sites, thereby offering stakeholders a reliable benchmark under globally varying operating conditions. In this way, the project aims to contribute to accelerating the market ramp-up of DAC technologies necessary for the provision of sufficient quantities of reFuels to achieve climate protection goals, thereby also strengthening the market opportunities for companies in Baden-Württemberg in the field of DAC plants.

Parties involved:

  • Ministry of Transport Baden-Württemberg (funding for the research project)
  • Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research Baden-Württemberg
  • Companies from the mechanical and plant engineering sector and the supplier industry
