DAC in BW - Industrialization of systems for Direct Air Capture

DAC is used to extract CO for the production of reFuels and chemical products as well as for climate protection. Considerable potential is seen in the future market for manufacturers of metal products, components and systems. The starting point is the "DAC-BW" project (2022 to 2025) funded by the Ministry of Transport with 1.4 million euros. In addition to the scaling and efficiency improvements of the systems, it aims at the leveraging of regional value creation potential and at establishing the competitive industrial production of DAC systems and supplier components in Baden-Württemberg. Within the framework of an industry dialog, relevant companies from the supplier industry as well as from the mechanical and plant engineering sector will be informed in various industry workshops.
