Dialog and civic participation in industrial location projects

The transformation of the automotive industry manifests itself, among other things, in companies having to change their production and logistics processes and to build new sites or change existing ones. Such industrial location projects often trigger intense public debate in the communities. As part of this mission, communities are supported by involving citizens in the planning and decision-making processes. Plans are to be discussed and recommendations drawn up in citizens forums whose members are randomly selected. These forums have been successfully used in Weilheim unter Teck and in Bischweier. A corresponding dialog format is planned in Korntal-Münchingen.
