At the InnovationCampus Future Mobility (ICM), the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and the University of Stuttgart are pooling their expertise in mobility, production and digitization. The common goal is to research and implement entirely new, innovative solutions for emission-free mobility of the future and to envision flexible, resilient value-added networks. The work is focused on cross-disciplinary, application-oriented fundamental research.
The ICM offers new formats for science, industry and the public. The promotion of application-oriented basic research in collaborative projects is currently being complemented by launching further formats for joint campus development and transfer instruments. To promote young scientists, new professorships, junior research groups and an international exchange program are being established. In addition, seven consortia, each consisting of start-ups or SMEs and universities from Baden-Württemberg, have been funded as part of the "InnovationChallenge Mobility and Production" transfer initiative.
