Transformation Hub Electric Mobility: Guideline Fit4E

The electrification of the powertrain has led to a steady decline in the economic importance of many components and manufacturing processes. At the same time, new products and production solutions are in demand. The transformation process toward electromobility can therefore also be seen as an opportunity to contribute one's own manufacturing expertise to a growing market. The Fit4E guide and the associated workshop at the wbk Institute of Production Technology at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology aim to support particularly small and medium-sized companies in taking advantage of this opportunity.

The guide is based on the three phases of the workshop (preparation, implementation, and follow-up) and describes the methods used in each case. In the preparation phase, the company's competence portfolio is determined in order to identify the initial potential for useful manufacturing processes by comparing it with a database created during the project. The necessary basics and the process chains to produce battery modules and electric traction drives are presented in the workshop. This helps the participants to jointly identify new business areas and evaluate them in terms of technology.

The consultancy service is now part of transformationswissen-bw.de and – if your company is a suitable candidate – it may be eligible for funding via a consultancy voucher.
