The Mobility Data Space (MDS) is a data marketplace where partners in the mobility sector independently exchange data to enable and further develop innovative, environmentally friendly, and user-friendly mobility concepts. However, the Mobility Data Space is particularly valuable not only for a sustainable and climate-friendly orientation of automated and connected driving (AVF) but also for its further development in collaboration with the automotive industry. It ideally complements MobiData BW ®.
Baden-Württemberg is not only a shareholder in the sponsoring company, but also contributes several accompanying projects to the MDS as a partner. These projects are also strongly related to the SDA: Increased road safety through more mobility data, digital traffic sign register, traffic situation forecasting and hazard detection through AI, and a booking platform across multiple modes of transport.
