On behalf of the Ministry of Transport, a demand and location analysis has been carried out for the nationwide charging of e-trucks in Baden-Württemberg.
Switching commercial vehicles to climate-friendly drive systems is crucial to achieving climate protection targets in the transport sector. In particular, the electrification of the vehicle fleet will be crucial. The necessary prerequisite is a charging network that meets the requirements of heavy goods transport.
This study uses model calculations to forecast the expected demand for charging points for heavy goods vehicles in Baden-Württemberg and provides information on the localisation of the necessary locations. The study is an important basis for a basic network for the public charging of heavy goods vehicles by providing guidance to all relevant stakeholders.
