
Increasing vehicle digitalisation, the digitalisation of business processes, the electrification of the powertrain and changing distribution models are primarily responsible for the transformation in the automotive industry. The high investment costs and training requirements necessary to shape this transformation are particularly challenging for manufacturer-independent businesses. A study on the service market in 2040 explores possible perspectives and strategies. To complement this, a workshop format called the ‘Future Check’ was developed to work with management and employees in automotive businesses to develop their own strategies for future challenges.
