Automotive trade - prospects and strategies

Increasing vehicle digitalization, the digitalization of business processes, the electrification of the powertrain, and changing distribution models are the main drivers of change in the automotive trade. This is the result of the "Effects on Employment in the automotive industry 2030/2040" study published in January 2023. The high investment cost and qualification requirements necessary for this transformation are particularly challenging for independent workshops. Therefore, an advanced study has examined the service market in 2040 as well as prospects and strategies available to independent garages. In addition to this, the "Future Check" program was developed, which in the form of workshops allows the management and employees in the automotive trade to specifically work out individual strategies to master the challenges lying ahead.
